The ALTER chair is versatile. It is suitable for the rigours of commercial applications and is equally at home in an intimate setting. Triangulated legs lighten the product whilst retaining strength and solidity. Undulating backrest lines form a handle that is pleasant to the touch offering optimum seating comfort.
The seat can be upholstered in a variety of high quality fabrics and a broad colour palette in materials such as wool and leather. ALTER is entirely manufactured in FSC certified solid woods including oak, ash and walnut varieties and is hand finished by skilled craftsmen. Its stackability makes the ALTER chair ideal for spaces that require versatility.
The ALTER chair comes as standard range in ash stained or natural finish, oak, walnut, but also many more wood species upon request.
With ALTER the designer wanted to emphasize the importance of sustainability through simplicity, ease of use, and the foldable design of our chairs, as well as the high-end appeal of our flat-packing tables. This represents a fresh approach to the GoEs brand identity, as we haven’t ventured into this territory before, making it a distinct feature highlighted in both descriptions.
